ClipClip Basics
Introduction ClipClip is a Windows desktop application. Its main purpose is to expand the functionality of the clipboard to increase your productivity. ClipClip achieves this with its built-in features and by providing developers a platform to create Actions that provide limitless flexibility. In the future, we plan to have a fully cross-platform application for Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS, Android, and iOS. Browser extensions are planned for Chrome, Opera, and Firefox. Paste Menu The Paste Menu provides an easy way to access your Latest Clips, Saved Clips, and Context-Sensitive Clips without having to access the Manager window. By default, the assigned hotkey is Ctrl + Alt + V, however, this may be changed in the settings. Concepts Clips Anything that can be copied to the clipboard can be considered a clip. Clips can consist of plain text, formatted text, image data, or a reference to a file. Clips are very versatile. They can consist of just a few characters or an entire Wikipedia article. This makes it possible to use them for any purpose. You can store a phone number or hyperlink, write notes with text and images, save code snippets for easy access, or frequently used templates to share with your co-woFew readersHotkeys
Hotkeys Our goal is to limit potential conflicts with other applications, though since these are impossible to prevent entirely, we make sure it’s easy to re-assign global hotkeys. *Hotkeys marked with an asterisk are disabled by default and must be enabled in the settings first. Default global hotkeys These are the defaults, which can easily be customized during the set-up process or in the settings. Default folders These folders are created by default for new users to show how they can organize their clips. They may be renamed or deleted, and subfolders may be created within them. Addresses Your address or third-party addresses. Bank accounts Bank account information for easy access when someone has to send you a payment. We recommend password-protecting this folder.
