Navigation Pane

This pane allows navigating through the following items;

Clipboard (contains latest clips)

Anything you copy to the clipboard while clipboard monitoring is enabled appears here. Clips can be filtered by date, context or type by expanding this item.

Shortcuts (contains pinned clips)

You can pin clips to your shortcuts to make sure you can access them more easily, and in case it’s a latest clip that is being pinned, it will never be deleted automatically.

Inbox (hidden folder containing saved clips or cloud clips)

This is the default location for any new clip when you do not specify a location. If you enabled CloudConnect then these clips will be accessible on your other devices. They are stored within a hidden folder but they’re not encoded.

Folders (contains saved clips or cloud clips)

You can select any folder on your hard drive or on a cloud storage service such as Google Drive or Dropbox to be included in ClipClip.

Grid

The grid displays the clips in the selected navigation pane item and includes the following information;

Preview

Shows some of the text or a thumbnail in case of image data.

Title

Clips can be renamed as needed but cannot contain any of the following characters: \ / : * ? < > |

Type

Plain Text, Rich Text, HTML, File(s), or Image.

Modified

Shows when the clip was last modified relative to the current time.

File Size

This option is hidden by default but can be enabled by right-clicking the grid header.

Context-Menu Options

These operations are available from the context menu;

(i) Hold Ctrl to drag as a file > You can drag clips to folders within ClipClip, or to other windows. If you would like to treat the clip as a file instead of data, hold the Ctrl key while dragging. This way, you can attach clips as files when uploading through a web browser. With Gmail, you can use either option: including an image as an attachment or including it within the body of your email.

Copy clip with formatting (Ctrl + P)
